Big wedding day in the family. September 12, 2009

It is been many months in the planning. It has had it ups and downs for the soon to be married couple. Weeks, days, hours even minutes before the wedding we were told there was a good chance for a rainy day.
The ladies were to meet up at the beauty salon at 8 a.m. to start getting our hair and makeup done. As I pulled into my in-laws driveway I couldn't resist taking a picture of the beautiful sunrise we had been blessed with on the wedding day.

My always prepared mother-in-law (mother of the bride) had stocked up the back of her Trail Blazer this morning in case we got the munches. Some of us might have thought this wasn't necessary, until we were in the parking lot of the beauty salon for 45 minutes before any staff arrived to finally let us in. Yes, you read that right, they were 45 minutes late for an appointment for a wedding party. All I have to say is they were very lucky that my sister-in-law is the most relaxed bride-to-be you will ever meet. If she wasn't, there would have been heads rolling.
Once the stylists started to arrive around 9 a.m. we also found out that they didn't have anyone down for getting their makeup done. Well...we did make sure that the bride-to-be got her makeup done and the rest of us made due with that we had brought along with is. We all looked beautiful when it was all said and done.

Since we got such a late start to the morning once we got our hair done half of us had to rush to the church to get dressed for pictures. The mother of the bride was driving and this is a woman that usually drives the speed limit or UNDER and she was going 75 mph, white knuckled down the interstate. I had to get proof of this!

I'll have more pictures later, but this is one after the wedding they had taken on the back of the fire truck. The groom is the Fire Chief in their town.

What a crazy looking bunch. Glad the professionals got better shots of this pose then my camera got.
Seen below is what happens when you have too much fun in your rented tux. You might blow out a leg.
The day was perfect. Not a rain drop in sight. I will have more pictures to follow.
Congrats to Angie & Curt!
