Grump Days 2011
After being up late watching fireworks last night the boys were both up bright and early ready to see the parade. Before they could go to the parade mommy had the 5K walk/run to do so the boys got to go to work with daddy this morning. The walk was good. I walked it with Brody and we did great.
Beautiful weather this morning for the walk and the parade.
Boys looking down the road for the leaders of the parade.
Grams and Gramps came up this morning to watch the parade also.
I think they see something coming....what could it be.....
A ten man bike of course!
These guys had to do alot of practicing to get this figured out. Daniel's T-ball coach was one of the guys riding so Daniel thought this was extra cool.
Everyone was very excited to see the wooden train in the parade. This train was the boys favorite thing in the park when we first moved to town. When they started building the new elementary school they removed it from the park and no one knew where it went or if it would return.
Daniel's Preschool teacher and his new Kindergarten teacher were both walking with this float. Very cool.
Very cute barrel cars.
The Spahn & Rose truck got a face lift for the parage today too.
Later on after the parage we went uptown to the park to see what was going on at "Kids in the Park".
Both boys got to take a ride in the barrel cars. They pull these cute little cars behind a riding lawn mower. They loved it.
They had a few bouncy houses in the park, lots of games, and this huge inflatable double slide. Here they are going up the steps to get to the top. Last year when Daneil went down this it was very hot on his legs since the sun was bearing down that day. This year the overcast is much better.
Grumps Days was fun this year.
Looking forward to next year too.
