The whole family is HOME!

Sammy slowly made the transition from being on oxgyen to room air starting Saturday night. Sunday about 1 pm they took off the oxygen and he did well. His numbers would drop at times, but never stay down low. The doctor did his rounds on Monday morning and said if he was still doing well around 1 am (24 hours off O2) then he would be discharged.
We were very happy and excited, but also very very nervous. We had to put our trust in our son and the doctor. I took him home in the van and when we got home daddy was there to greet us at the door.

Proud, happy and exhausted daddy with his two boys. Daniel has alot of adjusting to do, but so far doing better then we both expected he would.
Our 7 day NICU stay with Sammy was not an easy one, but we are very thankful it was not the very very long 19 days like Daniel's was. Sammy never got a diagnosis as to why this happened (Daniel never did either). We just have to put our faith in God that he will watch over Sammy now while he gets stronger and stronger everyday at home with his family.
