Here is the latest project at our house.  Removing the old chimney from the kitchen and basement.  Once it's gone my wonderfully handy husband is going to make me a clothes shoot and some new counter top space in the kitchen.  YEAH!

The job of removing the chimney was quite the messy job.  Dusty and his dad did all the work and the boys and I left town to go visit Nana for most of the day.

Once they got the main section of the brick knocked out they realized the entire section of chimney in the basement was full of decades old soot.  No amount of plastic could keep all that black dust contained.  It is everywhere!  It will all be worth it when it is finished though.

 Here comes the new flooring.  Thank goodness too, the old floor was chipped and gross.
